Children in Prison – CiP Campaign

# CiP Children in Prison

Restoring Childhood, Care & Compassion

The Children in Prison (CIP) initiative by Friendly Giants Foundation focuses on supporting young children who live inside prisons with their incarcerated mothers. In India, children up to the age of six are often allowed to stay with their mothers in correctional facilities. While this ensures maternal care, it also means that many children spend their earliest and most formative years within prison environments—surrounded by limited resources, restricted spaces, and minimal access to child-friendly essentials.

Through the CIP initiative, Friendly Giants Foundation works to provide Child Care & Hygiene Kits designed specifically for infants and young children living in prisons. These kits include essential items that support basic hygiene, infant and toddler care, nutrition support, and overall well-being. The goal is to ensure that children who have committed no crime still receive the care, protection, and dignity every child deserves, even in difficult circumstances.

Our long-term mission is to create a structured support system that reaches children living in prisons across India, ensuring they have access to essential care and healthier early childhood conditions. By working with prison authorities, supporters, and community partners, the initiative aims to bring compassion, dignity, and hope into environments where childhood often goes unnoticed.
